I do two different types of custom work. The typical kind is a design I draw up to your specifications and stencil on using the traditional stenciling method. This is the usual approach for smaller-scale designs. Custom tattoos typically involve a consult if you are able, as this gives me the best understanding of the area and your vision for your tattoo.

Recently I’ve been branching out into doing large-scale, free-hand designs. This is the easiest way to make a full leg tattoo conform to your body perfectly. For these I do a sketch beforehand and spend the first session free-hand drawing the design directly onto your body. Sometimes, if there are specific details in the tattoo, I’ll stencil those portions within the free-hand drawing. Then, you can suggest any changes you wish to see in the design, which I will make, and we will proceed until we’re both happy with the design. [Is this all in the first session?
